The African Genomics Data Hub (AfriGen-D) aims to strengthen the capacity of African researchers to conduct cutting-edge genomics research, by providing resources to facilitate data analysis, annotation, and discovery.

The AfriGen-D Data Coordinating Centre (DCC) provides archival (temporary) and submission services to researchers conducting African ‘omics research:

  • Data Archiving: AfriGen-D offers temporary storage of large datasets, to facilitate data sharing locally or as needed, prior to repository submission. Thereafter, AfriGen-D can offer the storage of summary / concatenated data for efficient data sharing across Africa.
  • Data Submission: AfriGen-D offers data submission services to the repository of choice for users. These repositories include EGA/ENA, dbGAP, ClinVar, SRA, ArrayExpress, PRIDE, MassIVE, GNPS, NCBI, and more.
