AfriGen-D data resources aim to increase access to and representation of African genomics knowledge and data.

AGMP

The African Genomic Medicine Portal (AGMP) is a resource which facilitates the transfer of existing knowledge regarding the genetic underpinnings associated with disease and drug response in African populations. The AGMP provides researchers with a platform from which they can retrieve existing information and resources with regards to the investigation and implementation of genomic medicine practices in African populations.

AfPO

AfPO is an ontology that can be used in the study of diverse populations across Africa. It brings together publicly available demographic, anthropological and genetic data relating to African people in a standardised and structured format. The AfPO can be employed to classify African study participants comprehensively in prospective research studies. It can also be used to classify past study participants by mapping them using a language or ethnicity identifier or synonyms.

Data Catalog

The Data Catalog serves as a once-stop resource for finding African research datasets related to biomedical research. The Catalog spans a range of data domains, including Omics data, Health data, and more.. The interface provides users with a broad overview of these datasets and consists of specific metadata fields at the project and dataset levels.

Data Collection Toolkits

A suite of easy-to-use data collection toolkits that cover a range of biomedical research fields. These toolkits facilitate phenotype standardisation and harmonisation efforts on the African continent and the larger user community. The standards can form the basis for data models for post hoc data harmonisation and also promote FAIR data principles, ultimately enabling data integration and interoperability.
